Ahmedabad University is a private, non-profit research university located in Navrangpura, Ahmedabad. Established in 2009 by Ahmedabad Education Society, the university follows a liberal and interdisciplinary education model combining humanities, sciences, management and engineering.

The university focuses on research thinking, experiential learning, fieldwork, projects, interdisciplinary study and independent academic exploration. Students can select majors and minors across different academic areas and build an individualised learning pathway. 

Ahmedabad University currently offers programmes across Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Management, Commerce and Engineering. Its undergraduate system includes 26 majors, while students can also take courses outside their primary discipline as part of the university's general education requirements.

Course Eligibility

Undergraduate Programmes: The general eligibility requirement is Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board. Ahmedabad University follows a holistic admission process considering academic performance and the overall profile of the applicant. 

B.Tech: Candidates applying through Ahmedabad University's application route must submit a valid JEE Main or relevant state-level engineering entrance examination score where required. 

MBA: Candidates are evaluated through academic records, entrance-test scores, work experience where applicable and personal interactions. The university's MBA admission process also includes an application, academic/entrance details and a short self-video. 

MSc Economics: Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 55% or equivalent CGPA in Class 10, Class 12 and graduation. Mathematics at Class 12 or university-level quantitative coursework is preferred. Accepted tests include CUET-PG, CAT, GATE, IIT JAM, GMAT and GRE, with an Ahmedabad University Graduate Aptitude Test available for applicants without a suitable score. 

M.Tech: Relevant bachelor's degree in the appropriate engineering/science discipline with programme-specific eligibility.
