Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM Trichy) was established in 1984 and is located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. It was established in collaboration with BHEL with the objective of creating a management institution closely connected with industry and real-world business practices.
BIM operates as an autonomous School of Excellence of Bharathidasan University and offers a two-year residential MBA programme approved by AICTE. The institute focuses strongly on management education, industry interaction, technology-driven learning, research and experiential learning.
The institute follows a distinctive π-shaped professional development model, combining management fundamentals with contemporary areas such as analytics, AI/ML, digital business, sustainability and emerging technologies. Courses
MBA: BIM Trichy's flagship programme is a 2-year, full-time, residential MBA designed around a multidisciplinary management curriculum. Students can build expertise in Marketing Management, Finance & Economics, Operations & Supply Chain Management, Human Resources Management, or Digital Business & Analytics. The programme integrates contemporary technology, sustainability, analytics and experiential learning through specialised labs and centres of excellence.
PhD in Management: BIM also offers doctoral-level study and research in management sciences. The institute states that its PhD programme is being restarted as part of its research activities.
