The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) is a premier management institution established in 1961 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The institute was created with the vision of developing world-class management education and research in India.

Over the decades, IIMA has developed into a globally recognised business school with a strong reputation for management education, research, consulting, executive education and leadership development.

The institute's flagship two-year programme is now formally awarded as an MBA, although it continues to be widely referred to as the PGP. The programme is residential and admits students from diverse academic backgrounds including engineering, science, commerce, arts, medicine and other professional disciplines.

Courses

MBA / PGDM: Two-year full-time residential MBA with core management education in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Marketing, Operations, Organizational Behaviour, Human Resources, Information Systems, Strategy, Communication, Quantitative Methods and related areas. Students can choose elective courses in the second year.

MBA-FABM: Two-year full-time MBA specialising in Food & Agri-Business Management, covering agribusiness, food processing, agricultural markets, supply chains, rural markets, sustainability, commodity management and related management disciplines.

MBA-PGPX: One-year full-time MBA for experienced professionals and executives.

MBA-BPGP: Two-year blended MBA programme combining live online learning with on-campus modules.

BPGP in Business Analytics & AI: Postgraduate management programme focused on Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and their business applications.

ePGD-ABA: e-Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Business Analytics.

PhD: Economics, Finance & Accounting, Food & Agribusiness, Human Resource Management, Information Systems, Innovation & Management in Education, Marketing, Operations & Decision Sciences, Organizational Behavior, Public Systems and Strategy.

Executive Education: Open-enrolment, blended and customised programmes covering leadership, strategy, finance, analytics, digital transformation, operations, marketing and other management areas.

Course Eligibility

MBA – PGP / MBA-FABM:

• Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3/4) from recognised university.

• Valid CAT score.

• Shortlisting for Analytical Writing Test (AWT) & Personal Interview (PI).

PGPX (Executive MBA):

• Bachelor’s degree + minimum work experience (typically ~4+ years).

• Valid GMAT / GRE accepted (role of CAT varies for some exec formats).
