Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) is one of India's premier management institutions and was established in 1961 as the first IIM in India. Located in Joka, Kolkata, the institute offers management education across postgraduate, executive and doctoral levels. Its flagship two-year MBA programme focuses on developing general managers and strategic decision-makers, while MBAEx is a one-year residential programme for experienced professionals. IIM Calcutta also jointly offers the PGDBA with IIT Kharagpur and Indian Statistical Institute and the PGPEX-VLM with IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras. The institute is triple-accredited by AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS and is the only Indian member of CEMS.

Courses

MBA:
The flagship two-year full-time residential management programme designed to develop students into effective general managers and senior decision-makers. The curriculum covers Finance, Marketing, Operations, Organizational Behaviour, Economics, Strategy, Business Analytics and other management disciplines.

MBA for Executives (MBAEx):
A one-year full-time residential programme designed for experienced professionals with at least five years of post-graduation work experience. It focuses on general management, leadership, strategy and career transition.

PGDBA – Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics:
A collaborative programme jointly offered by IIM Calcutta, IIT Kharagpur and Indian Statistical Institute. It combines management, statistics, mathematics, computing and business analytics. 

Course Eligibility

MBA:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institution
• Minimum qualifying academic requirements as specified in the current admission policy
• Valid CAT score
• Shortlisted candidates participate in the institute's selection process.

MBAEx:

• Full-time Bachelor's degree with minimum 15 years of formal education
• Minimum 5 years of full-time professional experience after graduation/post-graduation
• Valid GMAT score as per the applicable admission cycle
• Personal interview/selection process.

PGDBA:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification meeting the programme's mathematics/academic requirements
• Candidates are selected through the PGDBA admission process.
