National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, established in 1987 to strengthen agricultural extension and management capabilities in India.
MANAGE focuses on Agricultural Extension Management, Agri-Business Management, Agricultural Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Agri-entrepreneurship, Warehousing and allied areas. Its flagship PGDM (Agri Business Management) is a two-year, full-time, residential management programme recognised by AICTE.
The institute also provides specialised distance/online education such as PGDAEM, PGDAWM and agricultural MOOCs, along with programmes such as DAESI for agricultural input dealers.
Courses
PGDM (Agri Business Management) – 2 Years: MANAGE's flagship two-year full-time residential management programme is designed for careers in Agri-Business, Finance, Marketing, Procurement, Analytics and agricultural value-chain management. The curriculum includes compulsory management subjects, electives, summer project and specialised areas such as Finance, Marketing, Procurement and Analytics, with a total credit load of 112 credits.
PGDAEM – 2 Years: The Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Extension Management is designed primarily for agricultural extension functionaries and professionals working in agriculture and allied sectors. The programme covers Agricultural Extension, Facilitation for Development, Communication, Gender Mainstreaming, Leadership, Rural Sociology, Farm Business Management, Agricultural Planning and Sustainable Agricultural Development.
PGDAEM – Online/MOOCs: An online version of the Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Extension Management designed to make agricultural-extension education accessible through a MOOCs-based e-learning platform. The programme covers agricultural extension, communication, participatory approaches, research methods, market-led extension, agri-business, project management and ICT in agriculture.
