Starex University is a multidisciplinary private university located at NH-48, Binola, Gurugram, Haryana. It was established by the Government of Haryana under Act No. 20 of 2016 and is recognised by the University Grants Commission. The university describes itself as a multidisciplinary institution offering programmes across engineering, computer science, management, commerce, agriculture, physical sciences, life sciences, pharmacy, hotel management, humanities, law and paramedical sciences.

Courses

Engineering & Technology: B.Tech programmes include Computer Science & Engineering, CSE with Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and industry-supported CSE programmes with AI & ML, Azure Data/Cloud/AI Developer and Cyber Security specialisations.

Computer Science & Applications: BCA, BCA with AI & ML, BCA with Microsoft specialisation in Python and Azure for Data Cloud Integration, MCA and MCA with Microsoft specialisation are offered.

Commerce & Management: BBA, BBA Business Analytics, BBA with Microsoft Data Excellence–Analytics & Azure, B.Com, B.Com Hons, M.Com, MBA and specialised MBA programmes are available. MBA specialisations include Business Analytics, Retail Management, Real Estate, Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Information Technology and Advanced Studies & Research.

Agriculture Science: B.Sc Hons Agriculture Science is offered as a four-year undergraduate programme covering agriculture and allied areas.

Physical Sciences: B.Sc Non-Medical and B.Sc Hons programmes are available in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, with M.Sc programmes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Statistics.

Life Sciences: B.Sc Medical, B.Sc Biotechnology and B.Sc Forensic Science are offered, along with M.Sc programmes in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Botany, Zoology and Forensic Science.

Pharmaceutical Sciences: B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D and D.Pharm are offered. M.Pharm specialisations include Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance.

Paramedical Sciences: B.Sc Medical Lab Technology, Radio Imaging Technology, Optometry and Operation Theatre Technology are among the current programmes. 

Course Eligibility

B.Tech: Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry from a recognised board, generally with at least 45% marks for General category and 40% for reserved categories. JEE Main and CUET are among the accepted national-level entrance examinations.

BBA/B.Com: Class 12 or equivalent qualification with at least 45% marks for the applicable programmes.

BCA: Class 12 with at least 45% marks.

B.Sc Agriculture: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics/Agriculture with at least 45% marks.

B.Sc Medical/Biotechnology: Class 12 with PCB and at least 45% marks.

B.Sc Forensic Science: Class 12 with Biology/Mathematics and Chemistry as a compulsory subject.

B.Pharm: Class 12 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Biology/Mathematics as the additional subject, with at least 45% marks.

MBA: Bachelor's degree of at least three years with a minimum of 50% marks.

MCA: BCA/B.Sc IT/Computer Science/B.Tech or an equivalent qualifying degree with at least 45% marks.

M.Pharm: B.Pharm with at least 45% marks.

MHM: Bachelor's degree of at least three years with 50% marks.

LLB: Graduation under the 10+2+3 pattern with minimum 45% marks for General category and 40% for SC/ST category.

The university currently states a 95% placement record on its FAQ page and reports typical starting packages of approximately ₹3–6 LPA, depending on field and employer. These are university-reported figures rather than an audited consolidated placement report.

The latest NIRF data publicly available from the university provides more specific historical programme-level figures. For four-year UG programmes, the median salary of placed graduates increased from ₹2 lakh in 2021–22 to ₹2.5 lakh in 2022–23 and ₹3.6 lakh in 2023–24.
