Universal AI University is a private university located at Karjat in Maharashtra's Raigad district, near Mumbai. The university describes itself as India's first AI-focused university and has built its academic model around artificial intelligence, experiential learning, sustainability, entrepreneurship, innovation and interdisciplinary education.

The institution began in 2009 as a business school and later became Universal AI University under the Maharashtra state legislation. The university became operational in 2023. Its residential campus is situated in the Karjat Valley and covers approximately 40 acres.

UAi currently has specialised schools covering AI and Future Technologies, Business, Design, Liberal Arts and Humanities, Commerce, Sound Engineering, Sports Management and Law. Its programmes integrate AI learning with conventional academic disciplines.

Courses

•  Engineering & AI: B.Tech programmes include Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Computer Science with Data Science. The curriculum combines computer science fundamentals with AI, machine learning, data science and experiential projects.

  Management: BBA, BBA in Artificial Intelligence, BBA Hons, BBA-MBA Integrated, MBA and Executive MBA programmes are offered. MBA options include General Management, Business Design Innovation, International Management, Operations Management and other specialised pathways.

  Design: B.Des programmes are offered with an AI-integrated approach, while integrated B.Des-M.Des programmes are available in areas such as 3D Animation & Movie Making, Transportation Design and Game Art Design.

  Liberal Arts & Humanities: Undergraduate programmes cover interdisciplinary areas including psychology, international relations, diplomacy, sustainability, economics, media and related humanities disciplines.

  Commerce: Commerce-focused undergraduate programmes combine business education with technology, analytics and AI-oriented learning.

  Sound Engineering & Music: UAi offers programmes in Sound Engineering and Music & Audio Production through its specialised academic school and industry collaborations.

  Sports Management: Sports-related management education is offered through the university's specialised sports-management school.

  Law: The university offers law-focused academic programmes through its School of Law.

Course Eligibility

B.Tech: Class 12 with the relevant Science subjects and the required minimum marks. The B.Tech programmes accept examinations such as JEE Main, MHT CET and CUET UG according to the applicable programme and admission cycle.

BBA/BBA Hons: Class 12 or equivalent qualification from a recognised board.

B.Des: Class 12 or equivalent qualification. The university uses its own aptitude and selection process, with exemptions available for candidates who have taken examinations such as UCEED, NID, NIFT or NIFTEE where applicable.

MBA: Bachelor's degree from a recognised university. Depending on the MBA programme, CAT, CMAT, GMAT, MAH MBA CET and other accepted examinations may be considered.

Executive MBA: Bachelor's degree with programme-specific professional/work-experience requirements.
